Humana is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in processing prescriptions, inventory management and patient services within a clinic.

This temporary, part-time role through Atrium is 3 months long with hours Mon-Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm; start ASAP with some potential for additional hours as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacy license required in the appropriate state.
• Role is patient-facing and part of TB screening program.
• 2–3 years of technical experience in pharmacy settings.
• This is a temporary contract via Atrium assigned to Humana.

This job posting is for a temporary contractor role as an employee of Atrium assigned to work at Humana.

This role will be as needed, and hours are not guaranteed each week

• Target start date: as soon as possible, as we will need to train this person for a week or two.
• Length of Assignment: 3 months but they will not be working 40 hours per week, this is a as needed role.
• Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician assist the pharmacist in process prescriptions, inventory control and customer service. This is a customer facing role located within a clinic. This is a part time role with the potential for hours to expand as the pharmacy business grows. Coverage for other technicians on PTO could also result in a need for additional hours.

The Pharmacy Technician obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician performs daily pharmacy technician duties including various activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Interacts with patients and affiliate primary care clinic.

The Pharmacy Technician

• Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.
• Assists Pharmacist in ordering and restocking of drugs.
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
• Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
• May operate a cash register.
• Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards.
• Follows standard policies/practices.

Required Qualifications

• 2 - 3 years of technical experience
• Less than 2 years of Professional leadership experience
• Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Pay Rate Range

19 - 23 USD hourly

The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting.
