Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a busy clinic setting. You will receive prescriptions, prepare labels, handle phone inquiries, and assist with OTC products while under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Washington state license and certification are required. A minimum of one year in retail/clinic pharmacy is preferred; bilingualism is a plus. Sea Mar offers comprehensive benefits and a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

Licensed pharmacy technician in Washington state.
Completion of formal pharmacy technician training or on-the-job training to gain Board of Pharmacy certification.
Pharmacy technician certification and current WA State license required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or clinic setting as a certified technician.
Annual influenza vaccine required for all employees.

Responsibilities

Receive prescriptions from patients and collect information for profile and insurance billing.
Enter patient and prescription data into the computer and print a prescription label.
Answer phones and record refill authorization information.
Call medical offices to request refill authorizations.
Assist customers with OTC products and provide basic guidance.
Pre-pack and label drugs for dispensing and assist with dispensing under supervision.
