Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy. Duties include dispensing prescriptions, clerical tasks, and supervision by a Registered Pharmacist.

Location: 35 Water Street, Room P, Wiscasset, ME. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm EST. Requires Maine license or ability to obtain; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maine Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 14 days of offer acceptance and before start date.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to use own car to make deliveries when business needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.
