Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) ambulatory infusion department seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with dispensing support activities and to prepare hazardous and non-hazardous doses in accordance with USP 797 standards.

Responsibilities include receiving and stocking supplies, labeling, and potential clerical duties. Education required is a High School degree or equivalent; experience is 2 years. ASHP/PTCB certification progress encouraged.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Work Experience: 2 years.
• ASHP- and/or PTCB-certified program within 30 days post training is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist a registered pharmacist with support activities required to dispense prescriptions.
• Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous doses following USP 797 standards.

Work Experience: 2 years

• Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 1 year of 11/1/2023.
• New Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 6 months of hire.
• New team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or recognized by PTCB, have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification.
