Job summary

McKesson in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Call Center Representative to help members understand prescription options, navigate Rx Savings Solutions, and reduce out-of-pocket costs. This full-time role offers a hybrid work arrangement after onboarding and a weekday schedule.

The position requires 3+ years in retail pharmacy or healthcare call centers, strong communication, and the ability to multitask while handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in retail pharmacy, healthcare customer service, or healthcare call center environments.
• Experience communicating professionally and empathetically with members and colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information in a regulated environment.
• Comfort navigating computer systems and multiple applications (Outlook/ Excel).
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from members and customers regarding prescription cost-saving opportunities.
• Educate members on how to identify and realize savings using Rx Savings Solutions tools and services.
• Assist with pharmacy claims questions, prescription transfers, and general pharmacy navigation.
• Make outbound calls to members who request support through the online portal or auto-dialer.
• Coordinate internally to resolve member issues accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct basic research related to pharmacy pricing and medication options.
• Clearly explain the benefits and value of Rx Savings Solutions services.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in every interaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Call Center Representative to join our member support team! In this role, you will use your pharmacy and customer service expertise to help members understand prescription options, reduce out-of-pocket costs, and navigate the pharmacy landscape. This is a full‑time position based in Overland Park, Kansas, with a hybrid work option following onboarding.

Work Schedule & Location: Primary shift: Monday–Friday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. OR 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (You can select which shift works best for you) Training period (first ~60 days): Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Training location: On‑site at corporate headquarters (435 & Nall, Overland Park, KS) Post‑training: Hybrid work arrangement with some work‑from‑home flexibility

What You'll do:

Basic Requirements:

• Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
• Experience in retail pharmacy, healthcare customer service, and/or healthcare call center environments
• Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with members and colleagues
• Demonstrated ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve, and manage deadlines
• Proven ability to handle confidential information in a regulated environment
• Comfort navigating computer systems and multiple applications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel (or willingness to learn)
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
