Job summary

Altruix is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Behavioral Health to join our Specialty Pharmacy team in Trevose, PA. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, supporting providers and patients to ensure timely access to therapy.

The technician will manage patient profiles, insurance workflows, and high-touch customer service while adhering to regulatory requirements. Compensation ranges from $22–$25 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Active Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy, prior authorizations, or insurance verification preferred.
  • Familiarity with specialty medications and patient support workflows preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy systems (SuiteRx, Framework, PrimeRx, or similar) preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel) preferred.
  • National certification (CPhT) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with facilities, providers, and payers to support timely medication access.

  • Escalate issues or concerns to the Pharmacy Manager promptly.
  • Assist with medication fulfillment, packaging, and labeling per state regulations.
  • Participate in inventory activities and assist with returns processing when applicable.

Altruix is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Behavioral Health to join our Specialty Pharmacy team in Trevose, PA. This is a full-time, onsite position primarily working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician serves as a primary point of contact for providers, patients, and internal teams, supporting the coordination of behavioral health medications and ensuring timely access to therapy. This role is responsible for collaborating with providers and patients, maintaining patient profiles and insurance workflows, and delivering a high level of customer service throughout the patient journey.

Compensation: For this role ranges from $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provider & Patient Coordination:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned facilities, providers, and patients
  • Coordinate with internal teams, providers, and payers to support timely medication access
  • Maintain open communication with providers to clarify prescriptions and resolve issues
  • Track and follow up on pending prescriptions, authorizations, and documentation
  • Provide high-touch customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries professionally
Fulfillment & Compliance:
  • Assist with medication fulfillment, packaging, and labeling as needed in accordance with state regulations
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in inventory activities and assist with returns processing when applicable
  • Assist in training new employees and support team members as needed
  • Escalate issues or concerns to the Pharmacy Manager promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned
