Job summary

Walgreens expands its pharmacy technician program to be more patient-focused, offering hands-on training and access to cutting-edge technology. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll work closely with customers, support ongoing pharmacy operations, and develop relationships with patients.

The program includes ASHP and Department of Labor-recognized training to pursue PTCB certification and advance within Walgreens' pharmacy care team.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Assist pharmacy team in daily operations under supervision, including data entry and prescription handling.
• Support inventory management and clerical duties as needed.
• Help maintain accuracy in medication preparation and labeling.
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused pharmacy environment.
