Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will interact with customers, support pharmacists, and participate in an ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship that guides you toward PTCB certification.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, career growth, and superior patient care. You will train to use pharmacy systems, assist with prescription processing, and help deliver a high-quality patient experience

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy duties and follow company policies.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and ensure accurate data entry and cashier operations.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience and build relationships with patients.
