Job summary

Walgreens is expanding its Pharmacy Technician role with a patient-centric approach. The program offers hands-on training to become a PTCB certified pharmacy technician and advance within Walgreens’ pharmacy care team.

Apprentices gain experience with pharmacy systems, patient interactions, and clinical services under supervision. New and existing technicians receive comprehensive instruction, with opportunities to earn while learning, as the program aligns with ASHP and Department of Labor

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and perform other duties per policy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and enter patient and drug information.
• Deliver patient-focused customer service and help resolve questions or issues.
• Support inventory management and basic clerical duties in the Pharmacy Department.
