Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Technician Apprentice. You will assist the pharmacist under supervision, process prescriptions, and help customers while building patient relationships.

This role offers training through the ASHP & Department of Labor-certified apprenticeship program and the potential to earn PTCB certification. Responsibilities include using pharmacy systems, ensuring accurate dispensing, and supporting inventory and cash handling.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred; may be required for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with third‑party claims.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Assist with inventory management and maintaining pharmacy supplies.
