Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our team. This role focuses on patient-centered service, using advanced pharmacy technology, and growing through an ASHP and Department of Labor–recognized apprenticeship program that leads to PTCB certification.

You will engage customers, process prescriptions, and assist pharmacists under supervision while developing professional relationships with patients and the local medical community.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach others if certified.
• Provide and model a distinctive, patient-centric customer experience.
• Handle cash register responsibilities and assist customers in locating products.
