Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice who will engage with customers, support the pharmacist, and help build strong patient relationships in a care-focused environment.

The role includes training through Walgreens' ASHP and Department of Labor–recognized apprenticeship, aiming to certify as a Pharmacy Technician with PTCB and to participate in daily pharmacy operations while delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and pharmacy duties.
• Process prescriptions and manage patient and drug information in pharmacy systems.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management and cash handling as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
