Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Alabama to join a patient-centered pharmacy team. You will engage customers, support pharmacists, and participate in dispensing and clerical duties under supervision.

Whether newly entering the field or bringing experience, you will gain hands-on training, continue education, and build relationships with patients while advancing toward PTCB certification in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills and familiarity with inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist pharmacists by entering patient and drug information and supporting dispensing.
• Help manage inventory, stock, and store operations under supervision.
• Process manual/third-party prescriptions and support clerical tasks.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and quality standards.
