Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Cullman, AL. This role supports the pharmacist under supervision and participates in an ASHP&DOL-recognized training program designed to prepare you for PTCB certification.

You will learn to use pharmacy systems, assist with prescriptions, and deliver patient-centered service while developing stock handling and cash-handling skills in a Walgreens store. Training begins immediately, with growth opportunities in the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in entry of patient and drug information and processing of prescriptions.
• Carefully fill prescriptions by retrieving and counting medications and checking for interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers with product and service questions.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking and daily store operations as directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
