Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a patient-centric team, interacting with customers and building strong patient relationships. The role emphasizes training and development through an ASHP & Department of Labor–recognized program to become a PTCB-certified technician.

The position offers hands-on experience with pharmacy systems, supervision by pharmacists, and opportunities to advance while supporting community health needs.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preference for six months of retail experience.
• PTCB certification preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy, and support pharmacy department duties according to policy.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist with and coach other technicians in operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in register operation.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience and resolve customer issues.
• Maintain accuracy in dispensing, inventory, and compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies.
