Job summary

Walgreens provides an earn-while-you-learn Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor, guiding you toward PTCB certification while supporting your development in the pharmacy care field.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and support Pharmacy Manager with duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Assist with cashiering, register transactions, and OTC product guidance.
• Support inventory management: ordering, unpacking, stocking, and casing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Handle telephone calls not requiring pharmacist attention and coordinate with physicians as needed.
• Assist and support clinical services as required and participate in provider outreach.
