Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Apprentice in Norwalk, CT to be at the front line with customers and develop patient relationships. You will work under pharmacist supervision, assist with prescriptions, and participate in a robust training plan aimed at earning a PTCB credential and advancing within Walgreens.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to ensure accurate prescriptions.
• Prefer basic computer skills and inventory knowledge.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Assist in inventory management and clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
• Register related sales, handle cash, and guide customers to OTC products.
• Support scheduling and workflow, and communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist.
