Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our patient-centered team in Windham, CT. You will work under the pharmacist, assist with prescriptions, engage customers, and develop strong patient relationships while using modern pharmacy technology.

Our training program offers hands-on experience, pursuing PTCB certification, and opportunities to grow within Walgreens as you gain expertise in clinical services and store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment is a plus.
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
• Good math skills for counting and dispensing medications.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and check for potential drug interactions.
• Provide excellent customer service and support at the counter.
• Assist with inventory management and cash handling as needed.
• Support clinical services and coordination with external providers as required.
