Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice to become a patient-focused team member, assisting pharmacists under supervision and engaging customers with friendly service.

The role supports a training path with the ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship, helping you grow toward PTCB certification and expanded pharmacy responsibilities, while contributing to daily operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math and computer skills; knowledge of inventory control; PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and other duties per policy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; support cashiering.
• Deliver a distinctive and delighted customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and check for interactions.
• Assist with inventory management: ordering, unpacking, storing stock, and documentation.
• Support clinical services coordination with Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
