Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice to be at the front line with customers, building strong patient relationships and delivering patient-centered service. The role includes training through an ASHP/DOL recognized program, progressing toward PTCB certification and clinical skills development.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will use pharmacy systems, assist in dispensing, manage inventory, and provide exceptional customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for dispensing accuracy.
• Good computer skills and inventory knowledge.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision and follow policy.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications and verify correctness.
• Maintain workflow and assist with scheduling as needed.
• Handle cash transactions and service the OTC area.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking and ordering.
• Support clinical services and coordination with providers as required.
