Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the front line with customers, supporting pharmacists and enabling a patient-centered experience. The role includes using pharmacy systems, counting and labeling medications, and maintaining compliance with company policies while building strong patient relationships.

The program offers training toward PTCB certification, with opportunities to grow in a supportive, technology-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior experience with Walgreens (preferred).
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications (preferred).
• Good computer skills (preferred).
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and using pharmacy systems.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers to resolve questions and issues and develop relationships.
• Support inventory management activities and maintain store compliance with policies.
