The Administrative Coordinator/Pharmacy Technician reports directly to the Director of Retail Pharmacy and assists with all aspects of PIH Health Retail Pharmacies. Responsibilities include performing high-level secretarial duties, distributing meeting minutes, reports, reminders, logs, policy updates, managing supplies, and supporting pharmacy projects. The role involves scheduling meetings, preparing data for audits, managing narcotic sheets, and overseeing volunteers. As a Pharmacy Technician, duties include obtaining patient information, processing prescriptions and insurance, inventory management, preparing claims, and assisting pharmacists with clinical questions. Maintaining ethical behavior, compliance with regulations, and positive representation of the pharmacy are essential.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Proficient computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritize
  3. Adaptability to pharmacy needs and excellent organizational skills
  4. Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately and independently
  5. Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active California Pharmacy Technician License
  • At least one year of experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting with pharmacy systems experience
  • At least one year of clerical experience
  • Two years of general computer experience, including Windows applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College degree in a business-related field (preferred)
