Job summary
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) ADRS is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join the Central Pharmacy Team ADRS, supporting services across community and inpatient settings. The role requires flexibility across site areas and a 7‑day rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
Be a UK-registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC and hold NC, SVQ/NVQ 3, HNC in Pharmacy Services Development and Management, plus an accredited accuracy checking qualification.
Qualifications
- Be a UK-registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Hold the following qualifications: NC in Pharmacy Services; SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services; HNC in Pharmacy Services Development and Management; Accredited Accuracy Checking qualification (Buttercups or NPA, 2019 or before).
- Be able to work at a higher level and independently; be willing to learn and develop on the job.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, delivery and evaluation of pharmaceutical services within ADRS.
- Optimise pharmaceutical care to maximise patient benefit and minimise risks associated with medicines.
- Work closely with the GGC ADRS Lead Pharmacist to support staffing groups, treatment and care services, community pharmacies, primary care and partnerships.
