Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing responsibilities in the pharmacy practice area. You will assist pharmacists, technicians, and the care team in storing, distributing, preparing, and handling medications under supervision.

You will perform competencies only as trained and qualified, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

• Current or eligible for applicable state license as a Pharmacy Technician.

• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Pharmacy Technician role will function in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing their job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area. The role will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth. The Pharmacy Technician will only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on the job training and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.

The pay range for this position is $20.68 to $25.10 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
