This role provides assistance with measuring, mixing, counting out, labeling, and recording amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders under the supervision of a Pharmacist.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepack for the floor bulk medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and affix labels.
• Respond to questions or requests; direct inquiries as needed to various departments.
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, or supplies.
• Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, check for outdated medications in current inventory, and inform the supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Minimal travel including overnight stays as necessary.
• Meet Expectations of Excellence for the position.
• Support location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the company.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
• Ensure high levels of cleanliness and safety.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Pharmacy Technician certification as required by state regulations.

Experience

• One to three years of pharmacy technician experience; healthcare, senior living, assisted living, pharmacy, or long-term care experience preferred.
• Minimum one year multi-facility experience preferred.
• QS1 experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
