Job summary

Harborview Medical Center, part of UW Medicine, seeks a Pharmacy Technician II for the Inpatient Pharmacy team. This full-time role includes rotating shifts and will operate under supervision of a registered pharmacist, handling routine to technical tasks in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include tech-checker duties, bulk-to-unit-dose processing, and contributing to workflow improvements while ensuring compliance with USP 797/800 and IV/chemotherapy preparation policies.

Qualifications

  • Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician I or equivalent education/experience.
  • State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required.

  • Follow IV room and HD/chemotherapy policies including USP 797 and USP 800.
  • Safe and timely preparation and delivery of intravenous HD/chemotherapy agents and non-HD preparations.

The Harborview Pharmacy Department is looking for an outstanding Pharmacy Technician 2 to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team!

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Full-Time / 40 hours per week
  • Rotating/Variable Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Positions in this class are characterized by the performance of certain routine and repetitive functions and may engage in preparation and packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous medications and other pharmacy related functions.
  • This position is distinguished by specialized, technical pharmaceutical functions, maintaining a specific area or function within the pharmacy, and acting as a resource for medication distribution systems.
  • All tasks assigned to this position are performed under the general supervision of a registered pharmacist.
RIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
