Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Assignment Dates: July 2026 – September 2026

Assignment Type: Temporary assignment with the opportunity for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on business needs and your performance in the role.

Position Overview

The 171519 Pharmacy Technician 2 is responsible for assisting in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications while supporting pharmacy fulfillment operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, and excellent customer service skills. The Pharmacy Technician will utilize pharmacy fulfillment systems to process prescriptions, resolve claim issues, and assist members and healthcare providers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute prescription medications using the pharmacy fulfillment system.
• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and insurance issues.
• Perform member and physician outreach as needed regarding prescription processing.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues.
• Resolve escalated member concerns related to prescription processing.
• Escalate prescription‑related clinical questions to a pharmacist for interpretation or guidance.
• Assist with inbound and outbound calls involving patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2–4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy Registration and Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state of operation.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‑paced pharmacy environment.
