Job summary

Actalent, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician for a contract role in Ashland, VA. The ideal candidate will enter orders, manage queues, admit patients, and troubleshoot data entry issues using the Framework / DocuTrack system.

Responsibilities include supporting order entry leadership, improving client services, and delivering excellent customer service onsite. VA license and 1–2 years retail or long-term care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a retail or long-term care setting.
• Must possess a VA license.
• Strong data entry and customer service skills.

• Research, follow up, and troubleshoot prescription/patient data entry discrepancies.
• Resolve discrepancies in orders with customers, including handling illegible prescriptions and potential medication concerns.
• Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to achieve department goals.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.
• Respond to customer needs and provide exceptional customer service.

• Admit patients into the pharmacy system and ensure accurate data entry using the Framework / DocuTrack system.
• Research, follow up, and troubleshoot prescription/patient data entry discrepancies.
• Resolve discrepancies in orders with customers, including handling illegible prescriptions and potential medication concerns.
• Collaborate with Order Entry leadership to achieve department goals and objectives.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
