• Retrieve discontinued or expired medications and document appropriately.
• Maintain prescription logs.
• Calibrate equipment and document calibration.
• Assist with pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documentation.

Job description

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician 2

Work Location: Remote - FL

Assignment Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Work Schedule: 9:00 am - 6 pm ET No overtime required

Work Arrangement: Remote

Position Summary:

• Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner
• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist

Key Responsibilities:

• Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of order.
• Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval
• Purchase, receive and coordinate inventory
• Maintain and update inventory recap report
• Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation
• Maintain prescription logs
• Accurately calibrate equipment and document calibration according to policy
• Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documents maintenance
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education & Certification

Must haves

• at least 2-3 consistent years as a pharmacy Technician. Hospital retail, specialty pharmacy is preferred. No Gaps
