Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 for a remote, 3-month assignment supporting home infusion operations. The role involves assisting pharmacists, preparing prescriptions, and coordinating inventory while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will work under direct supervision, perform data entry, labeling, and packaging tasks, and maintain logs and calibration records. Remote position with standard business hours and potential extension or conversion.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Licensure: State pharmacy technician license(s) TX, FL or MO.
• 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis.
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Locate correct medication and strength to complete picking of order.
• Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval.
• Purchase, receive and coordinate inventory.
• Maintain and update inventory recap report.
• Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock; discard or return to stock as appropriate; complete corresponding documentation.
• Maintain prescription logs.
• Accurately calibrate equipment and document calibration according to policy.
• Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and documents maintenance.
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Position Summary

Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner

Background & Context

Remote data entry, reorder processing for home infusion, IVIG, and hemophilia orders. The team is currently a relatively small one used to supporting each other and working together well.

Candidate Requirements

Education/Certification

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Licensure Required: State pharmacy technician license(s) relative to where the employee and assigned pharmacy are located - TX, FL or MO Preferred: Years of experience required: 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.

Disqualifiers

Additional qualities to look for: Any kind of IVIG, home infusion or hemophilia experience, or anything that suggest more complex tasks or therapies. Experience with multi state mail order pharmacy.
