Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring a Pharmacy Technician (Onsite) in West Sacramento, CA for a W2 contract position. Under supervision of a Pharmacist, you will prepare, package, and distribute medications in a high-volume, production-based environment.

The role requires active California Pharmacy Technician license and at least 1 year of pharmacy or retail customer service experience. Overtime is mandatory; schedule shifts vary and are onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• Active California Pharmacy Technician License (required).
• 1+ year of experience in pharmacy/retail/customer service setting.
• Fast-paced, high-volume production environment experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable transportation for onsite work 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription vials with tablets/capsules and verify correct product/strength.
• Replenish automated dispensing cells; scan product; enter lot/expiration details.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and assist with discrepancy research.
• Prepare cold-chain/specialty prescriptions per handling/packing requirements.
• Pack and ship prescriptions while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient safety.
• Identify issues, resolve when possible, and escalate.

• Mon–Fri
• Mon & Wed: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Tue/Thu/Fri: 1:30 PM–10:00 PM

Schedule change (possible after ~4 weeks based on business needs)

• Sunday–Thursday shift Sunday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekdays: generally 1:30–10:00 PM or 2:00–10:30 PM (as directed by McKesson)

Overtime

Mandatory (must be comfortable standing 8+ hours)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements (high level)

• Large-scale production environment; occasional work in refrigerated areas (limited portion of time)
• Standing/walking most of the shift; some lifting/carrying and use of scanners/equipment
