Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at Walnut Grove Correctional Facility in Walnut Grove, MS. The role supports the Pharmacist with supervised duties and interacts with healthcare staff to ensure accurate dispensing and compliance with regulations.

We seek a candidate with current state licensure, a HS diploma, and knowledge of pharmacy laws. The position offers career stability within a corrections-based healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Current certification/licensure in state of employment.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Thoroughly knowledgeable of all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner.
• Interact with healthcare professionals, corrections, and administrative staff to achieve departmental goals.
• Fulfill contractual requirements of the Pharmacy department.

Education

Pharmacy Technician Certification

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of state and federal laws for pharmacy

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Technician aids and assists the Pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner. The Pharmacy Technician interacts with a variety of healthcare professionals, corrections, and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the Pharmacy department and fulfill contractual requirements.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Current certification/licensure in state of employment.
• Drug Screen and Background Check Required
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Thoroughly knowledgeable of all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
