Job summary

Thibodaux Regional Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining patient records. The technician works under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and does not perform duties restricted to pharmacists.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, typing and math skills, and current Louisiana Board of Pharmacy certification or eligibility.

Job description

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medication, and maintaining patient records. The Pharmacy Technician works only under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician does not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a Registered Pharmacist.

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED

Previous Experience:

1. Pharmacy experience preferred.
