Parkview Health in Indiana is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, prescriptions, and dispensing.
This role requires good verbal and written communication, basic computer skills, and a positive approach to team support. One year of pharmacy experience or related technician coursework is preferred, with eligibility for a State Board Pharmacy Technician in Training license.
Provides world class Pharmacy services while assisting the Pharmacist in assigned areas of drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, prescriptions, and dispensing ,as well as, superior maintenance of general pharmacy operations.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent GED required. Computer classes and experience desired.
Licensure/Certification: Must have or be eligible for a State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided, in good standing. Tech in Training course work must be completed prior to expiration of Tech in Training license or within 1 year of hire, whichever comes first.
Experience: One year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician oriented formal class work preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
