shifts are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8:30pm-5:30pm. There are NO 12 hr. shifts. Candidate must be available for 9 consecutive days of training, M-F, 8-5, before resume is sent (this is non-negotiable). Overtime Pay: Facilities do not allow staffing agency staff to work more than 40 hours in one week unless approved and scheduled on an individual basis by Austin State Hospital:
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician work involves inventory management, preparing medications for a pharmacist final check, delivering medications to patient areas, conducting medication area inspections, providing technical assistance, and performing clerical duties. Provides guidance to others as needed. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the boundaries allowed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Responsible for adhering to standards of professional, legal, and ethical practice and all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and/or guidelines of the hospital, HHSC and Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
