Qualifications

Description:

• Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician work involves inventory management, preparing medications for a pharmacist final check, delivering medications to patient areas, conducting medication area inspections, providing technical assistance, and performing clerical duties.
• Provides guidance to others as needed. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the boundaries allowed by the State Board.
• Responsible for adhering to standards of professional, legal, and ethical practice and all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and/or guidelines of the hospital, client.

Requirements

• Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Experience in Pyxis Med Station System preferred.
• Experience with medication room inspections preferred.
• Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred.
• Will abide with agency leave policy, abide with rules, regulations and policies of clinet and Facility and performs other duties as assigned.
