Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time night shift on a 7 day on/7 day off schedule (Thursday–Wednesday, 7:30pm–6am).

Responsibilities include filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and departments, and maintaining the automated dispensing system. Requires Oregon pharmacy tech credentials and hospital experience.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
  • Minimum of one year (>2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Pharmacy Technician at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Full-Time/Night Shift - 7 day on 7 day off schedule working Thursday-Wednesday from 7:30pm-6am

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).

Required Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.

  • Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician or

  • Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.

  • Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.

  • Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable for role.

  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
