Job summary

RiteChoice Rx in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an enthusiastic and organized pharmacy technician to join our team at a community health center pharmacy. You will help prepare medications, verify prescriptions, and assist patients and providers to ensure quality care.

Bi-lingual Spanish is highly preferred, and certification or registration as a pharmacy technician is valued. We will train you in the 340B program and support your growth within a fast-growing independent pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish preferred; strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification or registration preferred.
• Experience with pharmacy operations and patient interaction is beneficial.

Job Duties:

• Prepare medication for patients
• Receiving and verifying prescriptions
• Process prescriptions using computer software
• Helping health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Maintaining pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
• Maintaining a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Organizing medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
• Maintaining records by recording and filing physicians’ orders and prescriptions.

Requirements:

• Bi-Lingual in Spanish, highly preferred
• Certified or Registered technician preferred
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
