Job summary

RiteChoice Rx is opening a new pharmacy location in Fall 2026 and seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join the team. Certified Pharmacy Technicians are preferred; Trainees are welcome with training and support provided.

As a RiteChoice Rx team member, you will fill prescriptions, verify data, assist with insurance issues, and maintain inventory while delivering compassionate patient care and top-notch service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPhT certification preferred.
• Non-certified candidates must be eligible for Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration and maintain it per state rules.
• Trainees must work toward national certification within the timeframe set by RiteChoice Pharmacy.
• Strong typing, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail is required.
• Dependable and quality-focused.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with RX30 or ability to learn rapidly is expected.
• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Occasional travel between RiteChoice locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Enter prescription data and patient demographics accurately.
• Process refill requests and perform patient profile reviews.
• Process insurance claims and assist with coverage issues.
• Receive, verify, and organize prescriptions.
• Assist patients and healthcare providers in person and by phone.
• Collect patient co-pays and process transactions.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory including ordering and stocking.
• Prepare labels and organize medications for pharmacist verification.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and opening/closing duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and providers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and patient-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT) are strongly preferred; however, we also welcome Pharmacy Technician Trainees who are eager to learn and build a career in pharmacy. Experience with the 340B program is a plus, but we will provide the training and support necessary for you to succeed.

Job Duties

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare medications under the direction of a licensed pharmacist
• Enter prescription information and patient demographics accurately
• Process refill requests and conduct patient profile reviews
• Process insurance claims and assist with resolving coverage issues
• Receive, verify, and organize prescriptions
• Assist patients and healthcare providers in person and by phone
• Collect patient co-pays and process transactions accurately
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, restocking, and removing outdated medications
• Prepare prescription labels and organize medications for pharmacist verification
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Support daily pharmacy operations, including station checklists and opening/closing duties
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
• Display professionalism and provide outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare providers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred
• Candidates who are not certified must be eligible for and maintain active Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration in accordance with state requirements
• Pharmacy Technician Trainees must successfully work toward national certification within the timeframe established by RiteChoice Pharmacy
