Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, MS. The technician will assist the Pharmacist, interact with healthcare professionals and administrative staff, and help meet contractual requirements in a secure correctional setting.

The role requires current Pharmacy Technician certification/licensure in the state, a drug screen and background check, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Current certification/licensure in state of employment - Pharmacy Technician
• Drug Screen and Background Check Required
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Thoroughly knowledgeable of all applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner
• Interact with healthcare professionals, corrections, and administrative staff to achieve department goals
• Fulfill contractual requirements of the Pharmacy department

Education

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Technician aids and assists the Pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner.
