Job summary

Peninsula Community Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in dispensing under pharmacist supervision in a multi-location health system. You will manage prescriptions, vaccine preparation, and front-desk tasks while maintaining records and inventory accuracy.

The position requires WA state pharmacy technician registration, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification within 30 days of hire, and customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with Washington State DOH (required).
• Valid driver's license (required).
• Active CPR Certification within 30 days of hire (required).
• One year of customer service experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process and fill prescriptions for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Release refill medications to a patient or patient’s agent at a pharmacist’s discretion; collect fees and perform front counter tasks.
• Measure diluent volume and reconstitute oral preparations under pharmacist supervision.
• Reconstitute and/or prepare vaccines for administration under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain all prescription records and invoices.
• Assist in pharmacy and clinic drug stock inventory management.
• Generate and maintain reports and documents.
• Handle non-professional calls for price quotes, status updates, and scheduling.

The PharmacyTechnician is responsible for assisting in various duties consistent withpharmacy technician licensure.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

• Process and fill prescriptionsfor dispensing under pharmacist supervision
• Release refill medications to apatient or a patient’s agent at a pharmacist’s discretion, collect fees,and perform other related front counter tasks
• Measure appropriate volume ofdiluent and reconstitute oral preparations under pharmacist supervision
• Reconstitute and/or preparevaccines for administration under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain all prescription recordsand invoices
• Assist in inventory managementfor pharmacy and clinic drug stock: order, receive, and store drug orders,check stock for outdates and recalled drugs, log outdates for destructionand reverse distribution, participate in physical inventory counts
• Generate and maintain reports anddocuments
• Handle non-professional phonecalls, such as: price quotes, prescription status updates, refillrequests, appointment scheduling and prescription pickup reminders
• Process prior authorizationrequests for PCHS Medical staff, reviews EHR for pertinent information,task pharmacist for clinical review
• Proficient in Athena and EPS
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation:$18.56 - 25.57*

*Taking into accounteducation and experience related to the position.
