Job summary

Peninsula Community Health Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist to coordinate, perform, and oversee mobile mammography services. The role combines hands-on imaging with program coordination to ensure access to breast cancer screening for underserved communities.

You will act as a subject-matter expert for mobile mammography, ensure regulatory compliance, QA/QC, and work with diverse teams to support quality imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently or in a team.
• Customer service experience preferred (1–3 years).

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening mammograms per protocols and regulations.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, imaging technique, and safety to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Coordinate mobile mammography operations: scheduling, logistics, site setup/breakdown.
• Support community outreach to promote mobile mammography services.
• Serve as technical advisor on equipment specs, workflows, and readiness of the mobile unit.
• Lead and manage MQSA compliance and related regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with physicists, radiologists, inspectors and agencies for licensure and compliance.
• Maintain QA/QC programs for equipment and imaging processes.
• Prepare for and support inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and compliant with standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and documentation for the unit.
• Manage policies, procedures, and workflows for the mobile unit.

TheMammography Technologist is responsible for coordinating, performing, andoverseeing all clinical, technical, and regulatory aspects of the PCHS MobileMammography Program. This role combines hands‑on mammography services withprogram coordination, ensuring high‑quality imaging, patient safety, regulatorycompliance, and operational excellence. The serves as the technical subject‑matterexpert for mobile mammography operations while also providing direct patientcare. This position supports access to breast cancer screening for underservedcommunity members through mobile outreach.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

• Perform high‑qualityscreening mammograms in accordance with protocols and federal/stateregulations.
• Ensureproper patient positioning, imaging technique, compression, and radiationsafety to achieve optimal diagnostic quality.
• Coordinatemobile mammography operations, including scheduling, logistics, dailyworkflow, and site setup/breakdown.
• Supportcommunity outreach efforts to promote utilization of mobile mammographyservices.
• Serve as theprimary technical advisor on equipment specifications, workflow design,and operational readiness of the mobile unit.
• Lead andmanage all technical and regulatory requirements related to mammography,including MQSA compliance.
• Coordinatewith physicists, radiologists, inspectors, and regulatory agencies toensure licensure and ongoing compliance.
• Maintaincomprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs forequipment and imaging processes.
• Prepare forand support inspections, audits, and corrective action processes.
• Ensuremammography equipment is clean, calibrated, functional, and meets allstate, federal, and manufacturer quality standards.
• Overseepreventive maintenance, service coordination, and equipment documentation.
• Managetechnical policies, procedures, and workflows for the mobile mammographyunit.
• Performother duties as assigned.

Compensation:

Starting wage at $37.38 up to$50.23**Taking into account educationand experience related to theposition

Qualifications

• Validdriver’s license (required)
• ARRTcertification in Mammography (M) (required)
• ValidWashington State Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Current BLS(Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• One to Threeyears of customer service experience (preferred)
