Job summary

ISGF Government Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures at Nellis AFB, NV. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, dispensing medications, entering orders into EHRs, and ensuring drug safety and accuracy.

The role requires maintaining professionalism, interacting with patients, and supporting physicians with requests while adhering to pharmacy guidelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of pharmacy technician procedures.
• Interpret prescriptions for appropriateness to include contents, completeness, compatibility, and conformity with established pharmacy practice guidelines. Enter prescription orders into required databases or Electronic Health Records.
• Perform required drug checks. Print labels for each order. Prepare, package, and label prescriptions and drug orders as required.
• Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties. Greet patients and dispense prescribed medications/supplies. Maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physicians' requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
• Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.
• Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, producing not in stock reports.
• Perform monthly inspections of pharmaceuticals in assigned areas within the pharmacy and in patient care areas. Rotate drug stock to ensure freshness and potency, to include the removal and proper disposal of expired, suspended, and other unsuitable drugs.
• Clean and arrange pharmacy equipment and supplies. Post and maintain pharmacy records including files required in controlled substances.
• Will wear professional attire in accordance with department policy.

Schedule

8-12 hour shifts Su-S between 0000-2359, up to 40 hours per week
