Job summary

Job description

Job Overview

Performs all typical duties of a retail, mail order, and specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Montana Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicates with and services the needs of pharmacy clientele. Requires advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in pharmacy, including specific certifications such as immunization administration and medication therapy management.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician License OR
• Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Temporary Practice Permit OR
• Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Provisional License
• 1 year Experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice
• 1 year Customer Service experience
• 1 year experience for internal promotion candidate must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician (external candidates required to have equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Training Program coursework or training

Compensation

Pay Range: $19.17 - $29.34 per hour. These amounts represent the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
