Job description

Job Description: Nuclear Pharmacy Technician

Schedule: Monday through Friday 1:30am - 9:30am

  • 40 hours a week
  • Rotation for weekends
  • Every other week or every 3 weeks, 5:30am - 9:30am

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $1500 New Hire Sign-on Bonus
  • Pay rate: $20.00 per hour
  • Bonus eligible: No
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, HSA, 401k, access to wages before payday, FSAs, disability coverage, work-life resources, paid parental leave, and healthy lifestyle programs.

About Cardinal Health's Nuclear Pharmacy

We provide radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical providers, adhering to strict federal and state regulations. The team may also consult with physicians and technologists on radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.

Job Summary

The Tech I, Nuclear Pharmacy assists pharmacists and Tech II in pharmacy operations and customer interactions. This role involves learning facility and equipment preparation, performing quality checks, and assisting in order processing and fulfillment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • State Board of Pharmacy registration; licensure as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Certification may be required
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Manual dexterity and ability to manage up to 75 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
  • Intermediate computer skills
Responsibilities
  • Prepare prescriptions and obtain pharmacist approval
  • Draw doses into syringes or vials
  • Perform quality assurance on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals
  • Manage pharmaceuticals according to regulations
  • Maintain inventory and records
  • Assist in labeling blood cell products
  • Perform laboratory and facility cleanup
  • Handle clerical tasks and deliveries as needed
  • Communicate with customers via telephone
  • Work under supervision with work reviewed for accuracy
