Job summary

HealthFirst Bluegrass is seeking a bilingual Pharmacy Technician in Lexington, KY to support pharmacists and help patients access accurate, affordable care. The role emphasizes English/Spanish interpreting, prescription processing, and friendly patient service.

You will welcome patients, enter and fill prescriptions, assist with refills, and communicate with prescribers, insurers, and team members. A high school diploma and Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus pharmacy technician experience.
• Current registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy; national certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish interpreting skills required.
• Strong communication, computer, math, and prescription interpretation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Compassion for patients and a genuine interest in serving the community.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional pharmacy support.
• Prepare, enter, fill, and organize prescriptions with accuracy and care.
• Assist with refill requests, e-scribe prescriptions, billing, inventory, and medication stock.
• Communicate with patients, prescribers, insurance companies, and team members to resolve prescription needs.
• Provide English/Spanish interpreting support to help patients understand and navigate their pharmacy care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, a clean and organized workspace, and a strong focus on service excellence.
