Job summary

HealthFIRST Bluegrass is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our mission-driven team in Lexington, KY. You will assist pharmacists, greet patients, and help ensure safe medication delivery.

You’ll handle prescriptions, insurance data, inventory, and support programs like 340B and Homeless Assistance to improve affordability. Must be licensed/certified and registered with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
• Must become registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Pharmacy Technician registration by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy. Must maintain Pharmacy Technician registration and/or certification through the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients with warmth and respect at drop-off and pick-up
• Accurately preparing, filling, and labeling prescriptions (new, refill, and e-scribed)
• Supporting programs such as 340B and Homeless Assistance to ensure affordability
• Entering prescription and insurance data with attention to detail
• Communicating with providers, insurers, and internal care teams
• Managing inventory, restocking supplies, and monitoring expiration dates
• Answering phones promptly and courteously
• Helping maintain a clean, organized, patient-ready pharmacy

What You’ll Do
