Job summary

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center seeks a bilingual (Spanish/English) Pharmacy Technician to join its multi-site, non-profit team serving Merrimack Valley. You will assist the pharmacist, prepare labels, handle prescriptions, and support front-store customers across sites.

This position requires MA registration as a Pharmacy Technician or progress toward certification, a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years related experience, and the ability to travel between sites with occasional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be registered with Massachusetts as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician or actively pursuing certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and prepares labels for bottles.
• Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication—both over the counter and using unit dose methods.
• Receives and stores incoming orders and supplies and answers pharmacy telephone.
• Assist customers with prescriptions as well as front store products and in the use of all products.
• Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customers, computes charges, enters data into computer and bills customers and/or Third Party.
• Ensures cleanliness of workspace and equipment and entire store including dusting shelves, vacuuming floors, sweeping and trash removal.
• Order processing, inventory tracking, database maintenance.
• Travel between sites may be required; full-time employees must be able and willing to work a minimum of two evening shifts per week and occasional weekend shifts.

Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, Inc. (GLFHC) is a multi-site, mission-driven, non-profit organization employing over 600 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to a culturally diverse population throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.

GLFHC is currently seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Pharmacy Technician.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician or working towards this certification.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish.
• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
