Job summary

PharmcareUSA seeks a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in a long-term care environment. The role involves filling, dispensing, IV compounding, and coordinating with nursing facilities to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

You will also assist with inventory management and medication returns while maintaining license requirements. Candidates must be certified in their state, available full time (including weekends), and committed to compliant practice.

Qualifications

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician in the working state.
  • Full-time availability including weekends.
  • Ability to work in LTC/long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Pharmacist with input, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
  • Perform filling and IV compounding with accuracy and speed.
  • Fill prescriptions per regulatory rules.
  • Answer calls and assist callers or direct to Pharmacist when needed.
  • Prepare medications for delivery to facilities per schedule.
  • Assist walk-in customers or direct to appropriate department.
  • Assist with ordering medications and inventory management.
  • Maintain Pharmacy Technician License/Certification.
  • Adhere to corporate initiatives and use provided tools/resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PharmcareUSA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician!!

Pay is commensurate with experience in LTC

Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, FSA/ HSA, Paid time off and Holidays available for full time employees.

Candidate must be certified as a pharmacy technician in the state in which they will be working, and available to work Full Time, including weekends.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist Pharmacist with input (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of all prescriptions
  • Perform all filling and / or IV compounding of prescriptions with accuracy and reasonable speed
  • Fill prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities
  • Answer telephone calls, assist caller when appropriate, or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate
  • Prepare medications to be delivered to facility per delivery schedule
  • Assist any walk-in customers or direct to appropriate department
  • Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management
  • Assist with Medication Returns and E-Kit management
  • Maintain Pharmacy Technician License/Certification
  • Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time;
  • Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
  • Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others with or without correction;
  • This position is very active and requires standing for long periods, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping;
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time;
  • Must be able to tolerate normal office/pharmacy environment and exposure to various medications
