Job summary

InGenesis is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support our client at Travis Air Force Base, California. This inpatient pharmacy role offers a fast-paced clinical setting where you will contribute to patient care within a dedicated healthcare team.

Duties include entering medication orders into EHR, compounding IV and chemotherapy medications, and delivering Pyxis supplies while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Certificate from an ASHP‑accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent military/other formal program.
• Current certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Completion of a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.

Responsibilities

• Enter medication orders into electronic health record systems.
• Compound intravenous (IV) medications.
• Compound chemotherapy IV medications.
• Conduct ward and clinic inspections.
• Maintain pharmacy automation systems.

Job Duties

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will perform inpatient pharmacy duties, including but not limited to:

• Entering medication orders into electronic health record systems


• Compounding intravenous (IV) medications


• Compounding chemotherapy IV medications


• Conducting ward and clinic inspections


• Maintaining pharmacy automation systems


• Delivering Pyxis medications and patient orders to wards and clinics


• Supporting pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Certificate from a formal Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP); or


• Certificate from a formal Pharmacy Technician program (technical, hospital-based, or retail-based); or


• Completion of a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.

Certification

• Current certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).


• Certification in Basic Life Support

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last 36 months as a pharmacy technician.
